The Wandering of Humanity

Jacques Camatte, The Wandering of Humanity (1973)

Camatte argues that capital has come to dominate not only the economy but also social relationships, thought, and everyday life. He describes humanity as having become “domesticated” by a system that separates people from one another and from nature. Questioning the idea that technological and economic growth necessarily lead to liberation, he calls for a new human community beyond the logic of capital.
